“Everybody Loves Raymond,” with a Persian twist. Barry (Behdad) Amiri and his family are living the American Dream, albeit with nosy neighbours and even nosier in-laws. Then his proud and obnoxious Uncle Babak from Iran moves in and Barry’s carefully curated American identity gets trampled under the Beshkam dancing, galesh slippers of Uncle Babak. “Kabab’s Your Uncle” is a family comedy about culture wars and how, essentially, kebabs and hamburgers are both made of the same kind of meat.
